Children and parents can enjoy a safe, fun, and unique Halloween experience at the 2nd annual Trick or Trick event at Lori’s Ace Home & Hardware. The event is Saturday, October 31, 2026, from noon-2 p.m. at Lori’s Ace, 14021 NC-50 in Surf City. Costumed youngsters and their parents will wind their way throughout the store following the pumpkin trail while listening to spooky tunes. Make it to the end of the trail and win a bag of candy. The event also includes free pizza and popcorn, and coloring and craft activities. “This event is so much fun for everyone,” said Lori Tracy Stobbe, president and co-owner. “Some kids go right for the trail to find the candy. Some kids go right to the craft table. Everyone goes for the pizza and popcorn.” The event is free and recommended for children ages 0-12 and their parents.
