The Chamber is hosting a book signing with Cathy Mails, the owner of SeaGreen Natural Cleaning, who is releasing a book on nontoxic cleaning titled Detox Dwelling, scheduled for release on Nov. 18. The book will offer practical strategies for maintaining a healthier home and living in a greener way.

Lauren's Hope, a nonprofit that assists women before, after, and during pregnancy, will host the Festival of Trees at the Topsail Island Moose Lodge 2061, 13175 NC Hwy 50 in Surf City (with a Hampstead mailing address). The free two-day event will feature music, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, Christmas-themed vendors, wreaths, and a gingerbread competition.
