On Saturday, September 19, from 9 – 5 PM and Sunday, September 20, from 10 AM to 4 PM, Poplar Grove will be celebrating the end of summer & the beginning of fall. Over 90+ heritage arts and crafts vendors from near and far will be showing off their hard work, skills and talents. There will be 7 food trucks, lots of concessions, including Kona Ice and Dixieland Kettle Corn, and even a few farmers. The $5 entry fee includes lots of activities for the kids, including vintage carnival games, bounce houses, Mr. Twister under the Big Oak at the Stables, Mr. Mark from The Broccoli Brothers on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00-11:45 AM for a sing-a-long in the gazebo, $2 wagon rides on the half hour starting at 11 am on Saturday and noon on Sunday. Ms. Jimmie will also have a Make-A-Basket class in the Basket Gallery at 11 AM on Saturday & at 2 PM on Sunday. For adults, there is music at the Gazebo with the live “hard hittin’ bluegrass” of Folkstone Stringband Adult beverages will be available for purchase from Wrightsville Beach Brewery, Noni Bacca Winery, and B.B.’s Tropical Treats. All proceeds benefit Poplar Grove Foundation, Inc. in support of conservation, education and preservation, so let the kids go a little wild and free, while you kick back with family, friends and neighbors. Bring your lawn chairs to set up camp in front of the Gazebo!
