Moores Creek National Battlefield to Receive Donation from Sons of the American Revolution

Currie, NC- The staff and volunteers of Moores Creek National Battlefield would like to thank the members of the Lower Cape Fear Chapter of the North Carolina Society, Sons of the American Revolution (NCSSAR) for their recent donation to the park of $1,300. The Sons of the American Revolution is an authorized "non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and teaching American history to future generations."

This group is helping to achieve their goals at Moores Creek National Battlefield. They are donating funds to build a trailhead kiosk at Patriots Hall, which will assist visitors in navigating around park grounds. In addition, they are providing funds for the park’s popular self-guided trail brochure, which provides vital information to visitors as they explore Moores Creek National Battlefield.

These resources will be enjoyed by all park visitors for many years to come. These donations will lead to increased awareness and appreciation of this park, the battle, and its significance. In addition, these projects will directly support visitor enjoyment, interpretation, and education of the historic battle at Moores Creek Bridge. Thank you again to the NCSSAR, Lower Cape Fear Chapter for your generous support of Moores Creek National Battlefield.
