Autumn With Topsail raises $51,000 for Historical Society of Topsail Island

TOPSAIL BEACH – Keith Myers, the chairman of Autumn With Topsail, presented a check for $51,000 to Gaylene Branton, the president of the Historical Society of Topsail Island.

“The proceeds of Autumn With Topsail will be used to maintain the Assembly Building and for the Missiles and More Museum,” said Branton. “It is greatly appreciated.”

Myers said Autumn With Topsail is the island’s largest festival and the historical society’s largest fundraiser.

During the Dec. 10 presentation, Myers thanked the many historical society members who volunteered for the two-day artisan and entertainment festival.

The Historical Society of Topsail Island meets the second Thursday of each month at the Assembly Building, providing both an informative program and lunch. The meetings are open to the public.
