Moores Creek National Battlefield to Hold 247th Anniversary Event - FREE to the Public

Currie, NC- On Saturday, Feb. 25, and Sunday, Feb. 26, Moores Creek National Battlefield will be commemorating the 247th Anniversary of the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge. Park staff, park partners, volunteers, and other living historians will be offering a variety of programs and demonstrations throughout the weekend.
 
The event will begin with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday the 25th. Demonstrations and programs will include battle commemoration programs at 12 and 3:30 pm on Saturday the 25th and 1 p.m. and 3:30 pm on Sunday the 26th, performances by the Tryon Palace Fife and Drum Corps on Saturday, Feb. 25, and the Wilmington Police Pipes and Drums on Sunday the 26th, as well as playing 18th-century toys and games, blacksmithing, candle making, Loyalist and Patriot programs, guest speakers, guided tours, and more!
