Moores Creek National Battlefield Commemorating National Park Week

Currie, NC- On Saturday, April 20, from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm, Moores Creek National Battlefield will be holding a National Park Movie event in Patriot’s Hall. Park staff and volunteers will be showing the movie “Yogi Bear.” Bring your families to enjoy this family movie favorite!
On Friday, April 26, beginning at 11:00 am, the park, in partnership with the United States Citizen and Immigration Service, will be hosting a naturalization ceremony for 60 new American citizens. This ceremony will take place inside Patriot’s Hall. This is a wonderful family event to witness new citizens take the oath of citizenship.
Finally, on Saturday, April 27, from 10 am until 3 pm, park staff and volunteers will be hosting a Junior Ranger Day event. This event will offer a variety of hands-on demonstrations, including playing 18th-century toys and games, colonial food and beverage demonstrations, historic weapons demonstrations, and more! Junior Rangers and their families will also have the opportunity to earn not one, not two, but three separate Junior Ranger badges and patches. If Junior Rangers finish all three programs, they can earn a separate Master Junior Ranger badge!
All events are FREE and OPEN to the public. For a full listing of event details, please stay connected to us on Facebook at Moores Creek National Battlefield or visit our website at www.nps.gov/mocr . Event information will be posted as it becomes available.
