PENDER TOURISM MOVES TO HISTORIC YORK HOUSE WITH NEW DIRECTOR

Pender County Tourism is has moved back to it's original location in the Historic York House. Our new address is 108 South Cowan Street.

The York House is a 1900's frame transitional Queen Anne / Neoclassical Revival - style house with weatherboard siding & high hipped roof. It has a central classical door flanked by sash windows. The house also features a gabled wrap-around porch supported by square columns. It is flanked on the north side with a dormer and has pointed-arched attic vents and two interior chimneys and solid pine floors throughout.

Pender County is in the process of renovating the York House. The solid pine floors have been refinished with plans to replace windows and paint the exterior. The house has been decorated with antique furniture and houses Pender County Tourism tracts.

In addition to the Tourism visitor center, Parks and Recreation and Veteran's Affairs have moved their offices to the York House. We welcome them to our new location. Please come visit us.
