| Topsail Island's first fishing pier. Originally built in 1948, it was destroyed by Hurricane Fran in 1996 and totally rebuilt and reopened in August of 1997. We have a large selection bait, fully stocked, tackle shop, souvenirs and grill. For you convenience we have two large fish cleaning stations and lighting for all night fishing. | A Cape Fear River Retreat |

| “Dragonfly” House, as it is affectionately called, has fabulous fresh water fishing. It is a private, quiet and serene home located on the North East Cape Fear river, about 25 minutes from Wilmington. You can bird watch, kayak, canoe, fish and hike on the river or pond where wildlife is everywhere you look.
Built in 2002 by the current owner as a vacation home, this home is the ultimate getaway. A brand new cook's kitchen, massive deck and screened in porch that faces the river and a projector with 10' screen for screening films help to make this place very special. The home boasts 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms with an extra large Jacuzzi and walk in shower in the master bath. Nearly every piece of furniture is antique (circa 1900) and most of the art is from local artists.
Enjoy our pig picking/oyster roast fire pit that seats 14 or billiards on a full size pool table. The property comes with caretaker in the event of questions or additional needs. The Dragonfly...a whole house rental.
