The plantation celebrates thirty years of "being nuts for its neighbors". Come join the folks at Poplar Grove to celebrate the arts, the south and of course, the peanut!
- 9:30 Opening Ceremony with anniversary cake, peanut butter served thoughout the day.
- Inside the manor house tour with costumed guides
- In the craft studio weaver/spinner, basketmaker
- In the tenant house - cooking peanuts, samples
- In the Argriculture Building - exhibits, video, modern day farmer, displays, tools, equipment
- Under the shade trees, vendors with baked, fried, buttered, roasted, creamed peanut-licious treats plus lots of other goodies
- New work by Ivey Hayes - he will be in the manor house
- Creative Artists of Hampstead hold their Annual Show & Sale in the Cultural Arts Center
- The local chapter Artist Blacksmith Assoc. of North America holds a Hammer In
- Cindy Rhodes plays the delightful sounds of the hammered dulcimer thoughout the day.
